Whether you’re based in New York — or simply serve New York-licensed financial clients — you must have a compliant cybersecurity program in place by December 31, 2025 so you can file your Certification of Compliance with the DFS by April 15th.
If your program isn’t compliant yet, the clock is ticking
If you aren’t compliant before the end of the year then you have to file an Acknowledgement of Non-Compliance and provide an action plan to the DFS.
